It's been a while since I created this example (still developed in SL1) of a mini-course that allows users to personalize content by selecting only the topics/products they are interested in: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl71_SL/BYOC/V2/story.html .Navigation buttons and progress indicator update based on their selection. It may not look like much but creating the logic for the branched navigation and the math behind updating the progress bar was quite complex.
